New Era Diamond Girls-Cotton 2011 Season Outlook

Team Cotton's 1st-year 12U girls team enters the season with high hopes as they hoisted the championship trophy in 5 of their 6 tournaments in 2010.

This year's team features the return of a solid pitching staff including Alex Sheehy, Jordan Stando and Karsen Cotton. Also returning from the 2010 squad is catcher Ali Gandy, 1B Megan Meyer, 2B Amanda Stockman, and SS Maggie Vesneske. Joining the team in '11 is Heather Haberman, Erin Hufford, and Jessica Weaver.

They have a tough regular season schedule setup against the area's top 12U talent. They are entered in the following local tournaments:Evans, Lancaster and two Hamburg tourneys.

Out of town tournaments include Erie PA, and a perennial DG favorite - the Midwest World Series in Columbus OH. The girls played one indoor season locally this winter and finished with a respectable record at the 14U level... they have worked hard, and are looking forward to giving you all they've got this season.
Go DG, go go!!!
